Please help victim of Vassalboro shooting.

We are asking for our community to help support the victim of the Memorial Day-Vassalboro shooting, Joshua Bilodeau.

On May 30, 2022 (Memorial Day), an argument broke out at an apartment complex in Vassalboro, Maine.

Out of respect for both families the details of this tragic event will not be disclosed. 

Josh was life-flighted to the hospital, where he underwent surgery to remove the bullet that damaged his spline and lung and will require one or more surgeries in the future to repair the damage to his lung. Josh is expected to recover, but not without months of rehabilitation. I ask for the community's support and financial help with the medical bills and cost of living expenses that Josh will have throughout his recovery.

Josh is an extremely hard worker. He was excited to have just been hired at a local landscaping company. Josh was doing a fantastic job in recovery and living his life to the fullest. He has a young daughter who is the highlight of his world. This young man has been through hell and back and has worked hard to get where he was yesterday. This tragedy has been an unfortunate setback for Josh. He will require more surgery and recovery time.

The other person involved passed away.  Both have young daughters. So we ask that you please keep your comments neutral. This sucks all the way around and our hearts and prayers go out to both families. 

The goal is to help Josh during his recovery from this traumatic event. Please help with whatever you can, even if it means just sharing the post. We will be holding an in-person fundraiser for Josh at a later date (TBD). Thank you all for your support.
