Veruschka, one of our amazing Glen Park Big Blue After School Staff, was recently diagnosed with cancer and the fight has begun.  We want to give her the support she needs, and this is one way we can. Veruschka works at Mission High School as a Paraprofessional during the school day, then switches her gears to support our Kindergarteners in after school.  She is a single mom with two wonderful daughters.  


As we know, hourly employees have a limited amount of sick time and in no way will it begin to cover the needs for her and her girls in the upcoming months.  We want her to concentrate on her wellbeing and her family, and not have stress related to paying the rent.   


We are looking to raise $10,000.  This will cover loss of wages, medical copayments and deductibles, and personal expenses.  


Veruschka is a kind and loving soul.  She always has a smile and a positive attitude for everyone she encounters.  She has the patience of a saint when it comes to supporting our little ones during after school.
