Please help us with Kweng's chemo therapy
Hi everyone. Last July 2020, our dearest friend, and sorority sister, Kristine Lobino Domondon or more fondly known as Kwengy, was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal Large B-cell Lymphoma.
A few weeks ago, she had Superior Vena Cava (SVC) syndrome which needed immediate radiotherapy. Had it been too late, she would have had a hard time breathing and might have had a blood clot in her heart/brain. She’s doing better now but her chemotherapy has to start soon.
Kwengy is the breadwinner of their family and is a solo parent to Deki (10 y/o) who now lives with her Mom in CDO, PH. Thankfully, her brother Kokoy is now staying with her in Biñan to assist her. Due to her medical condition, she has been on leave from work for weeks now.
As of writing, her medical expenses (check-ups, biopsy, radiotherapy, and now pathology tests) had amounted to more than 400K PHP, maxing out her HMO and Philhealth benefits. We are now waiting for the results of her pet CT scan taken yesterday.
She would be needing at least 150K PHP per cycle for her chemo. This is exclusive of hospital charges and other fees. She needs 4-6 cycles, 1 cycle every two weeks.
We know that everyone is doing their best to survive in this pandemic so any bit of help that you can extend to her will be greatly appreciated and will most definitely go a long way.
