Please Help Us with Blanche's Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
My beautiful Aunt Blanche passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. She spent the last few years of her life fighting many battles. She fought graciously and courageously through it all, never losing her sense of humor. My aunt was so strong, rarely ever asking for help, and so in this time of need, I am asking for help so our family can pay proper tribute to her.
Beginning in 2014, Blanche was diagnosed with kidney cancer and had one kidney removed in October of that year. She was diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, stomach and esophagus in June of 2018. In October of 2018, she had part of her stomach, lung and esophagus removed. Blanche returned to work in March 2019 and worked through May of 2020. In June 2020, she went to the hospital because she couldn't move and was in a lot of pain. The doctors originally thought she had stage 4 bone cancer, but another doctor believed it was just loss of bone in her hips. Blanche then had a double hip replacement surgery and two eye surgeries for her vision. She was in rehab from July 2020 through May 2021.
Blanche came home from rehab on May 6th and was home for about a week when she had to return to the hospital because she couldn't eat. She was at the hospital for about a week and then moved to a rehab facility with a feeding tube. While at rehab, she suffered a seizure and moved to Newton Hospital, where they discovered she had stage 4 lung cancer. It was not long after the diagnosis that Blanche lost her battle with cancer.
Blanche was a single mom, raising her son Dale, who is only 22 years old. Please help us pay for Blanche's funeral expenses and anything extra that is raised will go to Blanche's son Dale to help get him on his feet during this difficult time.
Thank you so much for your support. We appreciate your kindness and generosity.
