Please help us to save Poppy

Back in 2020 whilst on holiday in Cyprus, we came across Poppy who was abandoned and heavily pregnant whilst also a pup herself. She went into a rescue shelter and later gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies.

Poppy was an amazing mummy but from the day Lisa & Mick saw her in Cyprus, they knew they wanted to give her the best home they could. Once Poppys puppies were weaned, the preparation started to get her ready to fly to the UK to Lisa & Mick and that's where she has been since :)

Poppy is now 6 and since then, has lived a very happy life, she is a real pampered pooch who absolutely loves snuggles, walks and food! (And her brother Bobby).

Recently, Poppy has taken a turn for the worse and suddenly became very unwell. She went to the vets who weren't sure initially what was wrong but prescribed antibiotics. A day later and Poppy had deteriorated even more, she was lethargic, not eating, staring into space and sleeping alot and generally very weak. She was taken back to the vets that night were they found she had a very high temperature, after further tests it showed that Poppy had an auto immune disease (Anemia). She has been in the vets for the last few days and sadly isn't reacting to her medication as she should be, her blood count is still dropping and she isn't eating. The next step for Poppy this evening is a blood transfusion and we are hoping and praying that this brings good news!

All these tests, overnight stays and now a blood transfusion are racking up a hefty vet bill and we know many people absolutely adore Poppy. We are hoping to get some help in funding her vet bill which will hopefully get her on the road to recovery! Lisa & Mick both work but unfortunately this vet bill has come as big shock and is still increasing but obviously they will do anything they can to save her.

Poppy has been rescued once, let's do it again!
