Help Make Christmas Special for Families in Direct Provision in Clonakilty

This Christmas, Clonakilty Friends of Asylum Seekers (CFOAS) are reaching out to our wonderful community for support.

We work with families living in Direct Provision here in Clonakilty — people who have fled war, persecution, and hardship in search of safety. Many are living in poverty and face daily uncertainty about their future. For parents, this means they cannot plan ahead or afford gifts and celebrations for their children.

Our aim is simple: to make Christmas special for every child and family in Direct Provision.

We want each child to receive a gift — to smile and feel included like their classmates and friends at school. We also want to help parents take a break from their worries, even for one day — to share in the warmth and joy that this season brings.
