More information about Aphasia Re-Connect: Aphasia Re-Connect transforms lives by bringing people with aphasia together. Aphasia is a life changing communication disability, occurring after stroke or brain injury. Every 15 minutes, somebody acquires aphasia. Robbed of that most precious human faculty, it is difficult to find or follow the words, in speech, reading or writing. Aphasia Re-Connect counteracts isolation by bringing people together in peer groups through peer befriending, following our values: inclusion, participation and community.
