Please help us to help Magnum

Tax deductible
Poor Magnum was found sitting near a busy road with severe injuries to his face and eyes, in desperate need of help. A kind member of the public noticed his plight and took action.
After knocking on doors in the neighbourhood close to where Magnum was found, the owner was identified!
The kind samaritan spoke to the owners and was told that he had been attacked by another cat but he was “fine”. Magnum was clearly not fine.
Not prepared to leave Magnum in pain, they went away and called a large animal welfare organisation to report that Magnum needed help. They called again some days later and no one had been out to check him so therefore, they took Magnum to a vet, who admitted him straight away and tried to contact the owners. The owners were aware that Magnum was at the vets, but would not return calls.
Four days passed and the owners finally contacted the vets wanting him back without further treatment.
After speaking with the owners, Magnum was finally signed over to our rescue.
Magnum is 12.5 years old; sweet and gentle, but due to the severity of his injuries needs both eyes removed
We have received a quote of approximately £1,800.
He is currently on strong pain relief and antibiotics and sadly, he is FIV positive, but Magnum is not ready to give up yet.
Magnum's surgery is scheduled for Monday 8th August. Being FIV positive, we don’t know how well he will heal, but the spirit and trust that he shows proves to us that he deserves this chance to be pain free.
A dental will need to be done at a later date, so we may have to start another fundraiser then, but we will take each day as it comes.
Please help us to raise the money needed to help Magnum, every pound and penny counts.
After surgery, Magnum will go into foster care to recover and rehabilitate and, all being well, will be looking for the forever home that he truly deserves.
Thank you to the kind member of public for stepping up and getting Magnum the help he needs and thank you in advance to everyone who donates to this fundraiser.
