Please Help us to Develop our Mama's Faith Community

Our Mama helped to establish and build a Catholic Parish Church in Zingiziwa-Chanika in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania in 2022 and now she needs our help to do the same for her Satellite church in Maji Chumvi-Chanika.

To go back to the beginning of Mama's story, imagine the members of her Catholic community praying and worshipping under the shade of a Mango tree (2005-2008), then the incredible journey to build a church, house for the parish priest and nursery school for about 50-60 young children all on the same site. This is the vision we have for the Satellite church at Maji Chumvi.

At the moment, the satellite church in Maji Chumvi is made out of mud and not very well fortified against the elements. We are therefore eager to get something stronger in place so that the repairs can start after the devastation of the rainy season. We also need to build a toilet for the 110 - 140 parishioners to meet their basic sanitary requirements.

We hope and pray that this cause will be of interest to everyone. Whether you follow the Catholic Faith or just feel an affinity for community projects in a place where there is no financial support from the local Government and the people within the community can only rely on themselves and generous donors.

This is a community-based project in Chanika, Dar Es-Salaam, Tanzania, to help people in the local region gather in worship and help them with their mental health through meditational prayer, and share their Faith, support one another through teaching and learning and so much more.
