Since he became Premier of Ontario in June 2018, Doug Ford has never missed a chance to whip up racism against Palestinian-Ontarians and their allies. Here are some examples of his record:

• Ford labeled a York U student mobilization against IDF soldiers a hate rally (November 20, 2019).

• In an undemocratic move, Ford enshrined the anti-Palestinian IHRA through an order in council (November 2020).

• Denounced the Foodbenders restaurant for its alleged “anti-Semitism” (May 2021).

• Slandered pro-Palestinian demonstrators at Nathan Philips Square (May 15 2021).

• Condemned the October 7 Hamas attack but has not said a word about the genocide which unfolded in Gaza over the subsequent two years (October 7 - present).

• Ford's slandered MPP Sara Jama and took steps to censure her for supporting Palestine and criticizing Israel’s apartheid system (October 2023).

• Repeatedly referred to the Palestine national flag as the “Hamas flag” (Nov 2023).

• Ford has strongly demanded the removal of pro-Palestinian encampments on university campuses, specifically targeting actions at the University of Toronto, arguing they were disruptive and hateful (May 2024)

• Failed to meaningfully oppose the Keffiyeh ban in the Ontario legislature (April 2024).

• Ford insulted trade-unionist Fred Hahn, labelling him a "disgusting human being" for his support of the Palestine cause (August 2024)

• Ford’s Minister of Education, Jill Dunlop, circulated a memo to school boards and directors warning against schools being used as vehicles for “political protests” and “political biases”. This was a not-so-veiled reference to all things Palestinian (September 2024).

• Helped whip up anti-Palestinian hysteria around the Grassy Narrows school outing (September 2024).

• Ford instructed his Attorney General to seek an injunction against the Al-Quds Day rally in Toronto, calling it a celebration of terrorism and antisemitism. A court rejected this attempt, allowing the rally to proceed (March 2026).

The Al Quds Outreach Committee has resolved to take Mr. Ford to court for the defamatory statements he has made about it over the last number of years.
