I am a permanent resident of Ward No. 13, Mechi Municipality, Jhapa District. My mother Kalpana Timilsina, aged 51, has been admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu since Ashoj 10, 2082. She is currently undergoing treatment in Suresh Wagle Cancer Hospital, HDU–B, Bed No. 8.
She was admitted due to excessive accumulation of fluid in her abdomen. Despite performing all possible tests available in Nepal — including complete laboratory tests, biopsy, MRI, CT scan, and PET Scan — no specific disease or infection has been identified. However, her condition has become extremely critical and distressing.
Besides daily lab tests and bed charges, we have to manage medicines costing 25,000 to 30,000 rupees per day. Due to our family's weak financial condition, arranging the required expenses for her treatment has become very difficult. The hospital has advised us to take her to India immediately for further treatment. But our financial situation is so poor that even the expenses incurred so far have been hard to manage, making it nearly impossible to take her abroad right away.
Therefore, I, her daughter Asmita Timsina, humbly request all respected and kind-hearted individuals to please help save my mother’s life. Your support will always be remembered with deepest gratitude.
