Please help us support the fight for Indy’s life.
My soul mate, my best friend, my entire world has shattered into a billion pieces.
My 7 year old Australian Kelpie Indy has been diagnosed with lymphoma. We are absolutely devastated. This was never on my radar for you, my baby girl. You are the biggest part of our lives and many trips still yet to experience to all your favourite places and so much more swimming and ball chasing to do.
“Canine lymphoma is similar to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in people.”
“Scientifically speaking, lymphoma is a blanket term used by doctors to describe a group of cancers that stem from the lymphocytes. Lymphocytes are a type of white blood cell that helps the immune system fight off infection. They are highly concentrated in organs that play a role in the immune system, like the lymph nodes, the spleen, and bone marrow. While lymphoma can affect any organ in the body, these organs tend to be where most lymphoma cancers are found.”
If you have ever met Indy or heard about her, you would know she is the crusiest, most sweet-hearted and loving Kelpie you could ever meet. She is the best fishing partner to her dad he could ever ask for and could swim around all day like an otter. She is THE best ball catcher and blows everyone away at the dog park with her cricket skills. I can walk anywhere with her off leash and know she’s safe with a simple “off the road” while she trots happily infront of me. She’s even walked herself home once from Curl Curl dog park (about 2ks home) and was discovered fast asleep on the front door mat. Her intelligence and ability to communicate with no words leaves me speechless all the time. I can’t even fathom sometimes how she just knows all the unspoken things or how she is just always there with her paw on my chest and her gentle kisses to wipe away my tears when I am sad or anxious. She has supported me in ways no one else ever could and now it’s my turn to support her in every single way I can. Whatever it takes.
I am reaching out to all my friends, family, anyone who knows and understands the love you have for your fur baby is undoubtedly unconditional and I want to be able to give her the best treatment options possible and the best fighting chance to stay here with us.
Please, if you can help us in any way, we would be eternally grateful. The financial stresses eased means we can focus on giving her the best physical and emotional support to fight this.
The money raised will assist us with the upcoming vet bills, medications and treatments for Indy.
For our Indy, our wiggle bottom, snoootsy and little lady. We love you so much.
With Gratitude,
Claire & Indy’s Family
