Please help my Bonus Dad - Pat Lees journey home.

I realize there are so many GoFund Me fundraisers out there, so I appreciate you clicking and even reading ours below.
On July 5th, my dad (stepdad), Pat Lees, had an adverse reaction to a blood pressure medication he had been on for years. He was admitted to ICU and placed on a ventilator. The doctors told us that the swelling in his throat would go down in a day or so, but he ended up being on the ventilator for a week. Once they were able to get him breathing on his own, he spent another 10 days in ICU before being transferred to a specialized Acute Rehabilitation Hospital in Green Bay. Initially, his body was like he had a stroke, he could not even lift his arms to feed himself. He was confused and couldn’t talk well to even let us know what he wanted or needed.
Pat is working very hard to get home, doing 3 hours of therapy a day. He took his first steps and is no longer confused. He is trying so hard which makes all of us want to try hard too. ❤️
In order for Pat to come home, he needs his house to be walker accessible. His shower was in the basement, so the bathroom needed a quick revamp. Nothing ever goes as planned - the old cast iron plumbing had to be replaced and the first shower didn’t fit. Bilateral hand railings need to be put on the front steps and the door to the porch is still an issue. There are many things that could be done but we are focusing on the "must haves" right now.
This is the 5th week without a paycheck for Pat. He is determined to get back to work as soon as he can but, in the meantime, we are asking for help to get his home repaired and a place he will be happy to come home to.
I am applying for any additional resources I can find to help because his insurance through work is about up for the inpatient care. They are looking at sending him home, the house needs so much more done, and the help he has is limited to help take care of him. We know that Home Health, Physical and Occupational therapy are a must, I am working with his case manager to make this all happen.
Anyone that knows me, knows I will do everything in my power for Pat, I love him more than anything, but with my MS and the way I feel, I can’t take care of him myself. I can stay here with him for a little bit, but he needs more help than I can give.
Thank you for reading this far, if you aren’t able to donate, please share this post and keep Pat in your prayers. ❤️
Thank you so much to those that have given their time to help us, we are so grateful!
