Please help us support Glenda's final journey.

We are Glenda Thomas' family and are asking for some help in order to give her the send off that she deserves. When Glenda was not spending time with her family, she was being a proud member of the Greta Van Fleet Peaceful Army, and attending concerts and fan meet ups where she met many amazing people that then became her family as well. At a concert while dancing with her husband she met Papa Kiszka and his band and became an instant fan. Because of her love of live music, she attended many concerts with her friends and family. Glenda was a very big fan of The Rock Show who became very close friends to her. Glenda was a well-known person in her community as well. Glenda enjoyed making many different crafts and going to music festivals to sell her homemade trinkets.
After suddenly losing her beloved husband, Bob in 2019 Glenda started showing signs of Parkinson's disease and Dementia. She also had to have an open-heart surgery to fix a faulty valve, she then was told she needed another surgery which was unsuccessful. Glenda still continued to live her best life dancing through it all and putting on that brave smiling face we all knew and loved.
In 2024 things took a turn for Glenda. Her Parkinson's made it hard for her to do the things she loved so dear. We took her to the Greta Van Fleet parking lot party in Frankenmuth for her birthday, where she got to not only meet new friends but see the friends that are very dear to her, not knowing that would be her last time getting to see most of the people she treasured so much. In November she was hospitalized with health issues where she fought to make it home for her family Thanksgiving dinner. Glenda sure did not want to miss a time with her family. Then in the beginning of December Glenda went back to the hospital for more health issues, this time they told us that it was her Parkinson's and her heart. Glenda was taken from the hospital to a nursing home for rehab. Glenda again fought to be home for Christmas. Glenda got to come home December 23rd so that she could spend Christmas with her family and friends that she dearly loved. In January is when Hospice came to the home to start services, we thought it was going to help get her back on her feet as she kept fighting and getting better. Slowly we watched Glenda get worse. First it was just assisting her to stand and get her to her bed at night. Glenda was still such a fighter. The first part of March Glenda started to decline at a fast rate. Glenda was no longer able to stand on her own and she needed help to stand. By March 4th Glenda was in her hospital bed fulltime. Glenda continued to decline at a fast rate. On March 7th her Hospice nurse sat us down and let us know Glenda was in the transition stage and would be leaving us soon. We had to call hospice on Saturday as she started to further decline. By Sunday the nurse told us that Glenda was in the final stage of her life and that we had hours to days. Every day is a new decline, and her time is getting closer.
Glenda did not have any funeral plans made or any money saved as this is not something we thought was going to happen so soon. So, we are asking for some help so that we can give her the send off she deserves. We are hoping to achieve her only request to be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Bob. Thank you for your time and consideration.
