Please Help us Support Carey, Zella and The Meade Family
Donation protected
Our dear friend Carey Gordon-Jones, who is well known to us as a yacht chef and previous owner of The Mad Mongoose, her daughter Zella and the rest of the family need our help.
Zella was diagnosed with Leukaemia in December 2024, a shocking blow for Zella at just 20 years old and her whole family.
Zella has spent the last five months in hospital with Carey at her side constantly. She has been receiving various treatments including some which the family have had to pay for. Zella has battled various complications that have arisen both due to her cancer and the treatments themselves, leading to time in critical care and frightening uncertainty for her family.
Her journey is to continue with new chemotherapy, immunotherapy and a stem cell transplant. Along with these treatments, the amazing medical team at the Royal Marsden are exploring every avenue and are looking at alternative therapies in different hospitals - which could prove costly for the family.
This journey has already shown itself to have an unpredictable trajectory and nobody knows what the next month or year holds in terms of treatments and financial demand for Zella to reach the end and continue with her young life.
During this time Carey has been unable to work, her focus is on Zella and getting Zella well again as it would be for any parent.
As her friends we don't want the family to be worrying about money. We don't want them wondering if they can afford the next treatment or if they can afford various accommodations while exploring other avenues in different areas of London, the UK or even different countries. We don't want them to forgo a trip home or for other relatives to be unable to visit the UK to support Zella. We want Zella to be as comfortable as we can possibly make her knowing she has everything she needs.
Lets come together and take away the financial stress for the family, by donating to this page. Without financial stress the focus can be solely on getting Zella well and enable the family to have the freedom to be able to make choices that are going to get her through this and able to return to all the wonderful things in life that await this beautiful young woman.
