Please help, my daughter and her baby boy have been in the hospital more than home. It began on the 25th of June when my grandson was born. He was blue and the cord was around his neck twice. He was not crying. It took a while to get him to breathe and pink up.

Two days after his birth, my daughter started hurting more than normal, and on day 4, she was running a high fever of 103.5. She was then rushed to the hospital where we started our long journey. She was in the hospital four days before the decision was made to do surgery where she underwent a DNC first trying to get the infection out of her uterus. It failed, they decided to do a hysterectomy, She is only 20. We were finally able to go home a couple of days after that.

A week later, the baby started getting sick. He had a rash and a large boil on his chest that came up within a couple hours of waking up. We took him to the hospital where we have been through hell since. Started in Oskaloosa hospital, transferred to Des Moines by ambulance the same day, then transferred by helicopter to Iowa City the next day. We have been living away from home ever since.

Baby boy (Bailey) has had 3 surgeries. But we are not done. He is a very sick little boy. He has an infection throughout his little body that is not going away and is not playing fair. It is eating his bones when not removed fast enough. He has had a piece of his breastbone removed due to the infection. He had infection removed from his shoulder and then another surgery to remove infection from his thigh/hip.

We have had to use all our bill money to survive and we are not sure when this will end and we can go home and get caught up. I hate to ask for help, but we need your help. Please, I am begging you. please help us focus on our little guy and not worry about paying bills and getting behind on everything.
