Our Dear Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Grace to each of you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We write with a united and prayerful burden that the Lord has placed deeply upon our hearts. As we witness the rapid fulfillment of prophecy and the accelerating changes in our world, we sense strongly that the time for open and unhindered labor is quickly drawing to a close. The moments in which the final warning message can be freely proclaimed are precious.
In light of this solemn reality, a team of approx. 20 consecrated volunteers stands ready to go to Washington, D.C., in May to distribute present truth literature to our dear brothers and sisters still in Babylon. The fact that thousands of Protestants will gather at this event to rededicate America to God presents an opportunity we dare not overlook! (Link to the book bundle we will be distributing:
Inspired counsel tells us, “We have no time to lose. The end is near. The passage from place to place to spread the truth will soon be hedged with dangers on the right hand and on the left. Everything will be placed to obstruct our way, so we shall not be able to do that which is possible now.” Then followed the admonition, “We must look our work fairly in the face, and advance as fast as possible in aggressive warfare.... We have warnings now which we may give, a work now which we may do, but soon it will be more difficult than we can imagine.” (Testimonies for the Church Vol 6.) Sister White repeatedly warned that the labor which could be done in times of peace and openness will soon have to be carried out “under most discouraging, forbidding circumstances.” (Testimonies for the Church Vol 5.) This conviction has stirred us with a deep sense of spiritual responsibility and urgency.
Although our desire to labor for souls is strong, none of us possess the personal funds necessary to cover the required travel, lodging, and transportation costs for this mission. For this reason, we are reaching out in humility to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ asking for help to send willing workers into the field while the door of mercy remains open. We trust that God will move upon the hearts of His people to make this mission possible. Inspiration reminds us: “Every effort made for Christ will react in blessing upon ourselves. If we use our means for His glory, He will give us more.” (Christ’s Object Lessons.)
