Please help us to honor the last wishes of Kari and Jeannie.

We are organizing the GoFundMe with only one goal in mind, to pay for a proper memorial service in Hawaii for the scattering of the ashes of Jeannie, Linda’s sister and Kari, Jeannie’s daughter who is our niece.

The GoFundMe in no way, shape or form is to finance a trip to Hawaii.

Jeannie loved the ocean and we often joked with her that she was part mermaid. Kari had an interest in traveling to Hawaii but unfortunately, life had other plans. Kari suffered with medical conditions from the time that she was 3 years old to the time that she died at the age of 28. We kept promising her a trip to Hawaii with us. Unfortunately, that never happened.

All of this is the reason for which we would like to have a service in Hawaii for them. We feel that this would be a fitting service to honor the memory of Jeannie and Kari. We have contacted a company in Hawaii that specializes in this type of service. They have been in business for decades. We have already spoken to the owner of the company. $250/hr licensed priest/clergy

$15 each aloha leis

$30 per basket

$200 per leaf urn (2 needed)

$100 per ashes

$195 monarch butterfly release

$995 (starting cost for video recording of memorial service)

The prices above plus Sales tax and harbor fees (currently 8.712%), Captain, crew gratuities, not included in above pricing.

We are hoping to have the memorial service done in the Spring of 2026. Right now, we are in the planning stages and the services above are what we would like to have for them.

If there are any funds left over after the service is paid for, they will be given to Linda’s sister Ali, who is struggling financially after the loss of 2 household incomes.
