Hi, we are Pet Save, a nonprofit foster based dog rescue. We are raising funds to save lovely Whitey from mammary tumors (canine breast cancer).
Whitey is a sweet Samoyed rescued from a construction site in the summer of 2022. She got her very first bath, was spayed, and finally began a safe and happy life with a loving foster family.
But in early 2023, her world changed. Whitey was adopted by a couple who took their anger and conflicts out on her. She was locked indoors for days at a time, walked only once every few days, and often left without water. A dog who once loved people slowly lost her strength and spirit.
On October 13, 2024, we found her again — and our hearts shattered.
Whitey was only one-third of her original weight.
She was dehydrated, severely malnourished, had ear infections, loose teeth, and was terrified of human touch…
Yet despite everything, she still wagged her tail when someone spoke gently to her.
We rushed her to receive medical care, and slowly, miraculously, she began to heal. Her strength returned. Her eyes brightened. She started trusting again. For the first time in a long time, she had hope.
But just when she was finally close to a new beginning, we received devastating news:
Whitey has stage 3 malignant mammary tumors — breast cancer.
She has already undergone major surgery. Most tumors were removed, but one remains because it sits dangerously close to a major blood vessel. Pathology confirmed it is cancerous, and she urgently needs further treatment to prevent the cancer from returning or spreading.
Whitey is one of the gentlest, bravest souls we have ever rescued.
She has suffered so much and has never given up — not once.
Now it’s our turn to fight for her.
But we cannot do this alone.
Cancer treatment is extremely expensive, especially for a small, donation-based rescue organization like ours. We have already paid thousands in medical bills just to stabilize her, but ongoing cancer medication, follow-up exams, and chemotherapy are far beyond what we can afford.
We are asking for your help to save Whitey’s life.
She deserves a chance at the loving, safe, joyful life she has been denied for so long.
Please, if you are able, donate, share, or simply help spread her story.
Every dollar truly makes a difference.
Together, we can give Whitey the life she has always deserved.
Attached are photos of the medical bills already paid by the organization.
Whitey still urgently needs further cancer treatment, medication, and chemotherapy.
