Hi, my name is Krysta. My cat, Ripley, is currently suffering from acute renal failure and severe anemia. He's young (4 yrs old) and spunky and I believe he can make it through this. Today, I'm asking for your support to help with his medical bills.
On a recent vet visit, after some concerns with his lack of appetite, he was prescribed a special diet with the belief that it was simply an allergy. No blood work was done. Fast forward 3 weeks, his desire to eat had not improved, he continued to lose weight and we were back at the vet's office. His urine and blood cell counts were tested, which determined he is suffering from acute renal failure and would need to be hospitalized immediately. He's been to two separate ERs, had three blood transfusions, and is under antibiotic treatment. Although there's been progress, his red blood cell count levels and kidney values have not yet normalized. The specialist believes that if he has Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), he'd be able to start a successful treatment plan. This seems most likely, as lymphoma was ruled out.
However, every day Ripley spends in the ER, it's another addition to the bill; they will not treat him until the requested procedures are paid first. I've used my available cash and am now dependent on credit cards and a pulled loan. I'm quickly running out of options to save his life.
This entire week has been an emotional rollercoaster. Please help me save my baby boy.
We greatly appreciate any donations.
