Hi, our names are Leesh and Roxy, and we are completely heartbroken writing this.

Our sweet boy Drago isn’t just a pet — he is the one soul who has never judged us, never left us, and never asked for anything except love. He is family, he Is everything to us.

Now he lies in front of us, unable to walk.

IVDD has taken his legs. It took his joy. It took the simple things he loved — running to the door, following us room to room, curling up in our arms on his own. He tries to stand and falls. He drags himself and gets tired. He looks at us like he’s asking why we can’t fix him, and that look haunts us.

We carry him everywhere now. We clean him. We help him go to the bathroom. We watch him struggle to be the happy little dog he still wants so badly to be. And every time he tries to wag his tail, our hearts break all over again, because he doesn’t understand why this is happening to him.

We are trying everything we can through non-surgical treatment — medications, strict crate rest, constant vet monitoring, and painful rehabilitation. If he can’t regain full use of his legs, he will need a custom wheelchair (wheels) just so he can feel what it’s like to move again.

The financial weight is crushing us. The emotional weight is even heavier.

We are terrified of failing him. We’re terrified of the day he looks at us and feels like we gave up.

We never wanted to ask for help. But we love him too much to let him fade away without fighting for him.
