UPDATE: Hi there. While this fundraiser was started to help give Melvin another chance at life, our baby has passed away. He was no longer drinking water or eating. We called the vet and they said it was time for him to go and that he was telling us that he was ready. The money that was previously donated was used for a his pain medication, and a treatment for the fluid in his body before he passed. Right now, we just want to be able to honor him. We would like to get his ashes and his paw prints. Any money that was not used for the medication and treatment will be put towards that. We are still accepting donations if anyone is able to help us with getting his ashes and paw prints. He was our special baby and we just want to have these with us so he is never truly gone. ORIGINAL STATEMENT: Hi there. Thank you for coming to read this. I’d like to tell you about Melvin. Melvin has been my family’s best friend for almost 13 years. He is the sweetest angel that you could ever meet. His purr can be heard from any room of the house. He is playful, funny and caring. He is there for us at our best and our worst moments. We want to be there for his moments too. He is a beautiful soul who has so much life left to give, but he has been diagnosed with cancer.

All that we want is for him to have the chance to live out the rest of his life without pain, but right now we do not have the sufficient funds for the tests that he needs. The vet has told us that these tests will help him live out the rest of his life without pain. He is in need of pain medication, an ultrasound and palliative care. If you have taken the time to read this, I ask you to please help let my little fuzzy angel stick around for a little while longer in a peaceful manner. I want to be able to be there for him as he has been for us. I wish everyone could feel the love that he has given us because it has been so healing. Please help us heal him as well.
