Four weeks ago our lives changed for the better when we brought home our sweet angel. Today our whole world got flipped upside down when we went to see the cardiologist where we hoped for the best but were faced with the worst. Poor little Mabel has a heart defect, and her heart doesn't work how it is supposed to.

Last week what was initially diagnosed as a heart murmur by our local Vet, today (12/11/25) we were told by the Cardiologist Specialist that she has both Patent Ductus Arteriosus and Mitral Valve Dysplasia, which in short means she needs to have heart surgery asap to give her to best chance to having a wonderful life that is measured in years rather than months.
