Hi everyone,
This is Lexi and Kimberly Avila — Frankiee’s moms. Many of you know and love our sweet baby Frankiee. Right now, we're facing one of the most heartbreaking and desperate moments of our lives.
Just a couple of days ago, Frankiee suddenly became very sick. We rushed him to a local emergency vet who performed bloodwork and X-rays. We were devastated when she told us he had a ruptured tumor and was "dying," urging us to put him to sleep on the spot. But something didn’t feel right — and thank God we trusted our instincts.
We immediately took Frankiee to the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital, where a team of specialists evaluated him. After extensive testing and an ultrasound, they confirmed that he does nothave a tumor. Instead, our baby is suffering from severe gastrointestinal inflammation, pancreatitis, and bloody stool, likely caused by a reaction to NexGard and HeartGard medications.
Frankiee had to be hospitalized and is now in critical care. His condition is serious, but treatable — and he’s fighting so hard to stay alive. The vets believe he has a chance, and we want to give him every possible one. He’s not ready to leave this world.
Frankiee is not just a dog — he is our family, our emotional support, and our source of strength. He’s helped us through depression, eating disorders, addiction, and even my mom’s battle with breast cancer. Now it’s our turn to fight for him.
We’re asking for your help. The emergency visits, hospitalization, and treatments are already piling up — we've spent over $4000 in just a few days, and he still needs another 24–48 hours of care, possibly more. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Frankiee’s medical bills and saving his life.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with others. Prayers, positive thoughts, and spreading the word mean the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping us fight for Frankiee. He’s our everything.
With love,
Lexi, Kimberly
