Please help us save Cali’s life

Today feels like a nightmare, sometime mid morning our dog Cali escaped our yard and decided to go on an adventure. My husband and i came home from grocery shopping to both our dogs at home on the floor. Everything seemed normal until i noticed Cali wasn’t getting up to greet us. I went to her and all i saw was blood, puncture wounds and sadness in her eyes. It took everything in her to stand up and that’s when we also noticed she wouldn’t put any weight on her left front foot. We immediately took her to the emergency vet at cascade in Wenatchee. She had been hit by a car. It was $700 up front for her to be seen. They took her back and we waited and waited for any news on how she was doing. Finally, they came in and told us that Cali was in a stable condition but she had a very serious break just above her elbow on her left leg. They told us there was a couple of options moving forward.
The most expensive option would be to take her to an orthopedic surgeon estimated around $10,000 and there would be no guarantee that they would be able to fix the break or that it would heal properly. The next option was to do surgery there at the clinic. Estimated cost would be about $4,500. This included the stay in between the surgery and meds for after. That surgery wouldn’t be until next week and again, no guarantee that the break would be repairable. Third option estimated to be $5,418.40. This option is to amputate from the shoulder down. It would also cover the cost of meds she would need when she is able to come home. They said this would be the best option as far as recovery and quality of life. The last option would be euthanasia. She would have no quality of life if we cant try and fix her broken bones or amputate.
Cali is the most loving dog! She loves the water, playing with the vacuum, running around and playing with her best friend nova. Most of all loves spending time with her human kids as well as my husband and I. She is an old soul and loves everyone she meets. She is only three years old! I’ve tried
Carecredit as well as reaching out to Tom Short but I’m unable to come up with the payment to move forward with the amputation. The vet said they could get her in tomorrow for surgery if we were able to come up with the money. In tears i explained to them my situation… That i have three girls, work part time and my husband is currently looking for work. I felt out of options until they said if we could come up with a third of the payment tomorrow they would proceed with the surgery and then i could make payments. One third would be $1,600. The vet tech told me we already paid the $700 so if we could come up with another $900 they would proceed. I’m supposed to be in contact tomorrow with Jennifer at cascade to discuss more details.
I can’t imagine a life without Cali. We just lost our eldest dog to old age and now this happens… our family is heartbroken! Please, help us save cali’s life!
