Hello, my name is Susana. My husband Juan and I are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, ages 5 and 9. We never imagined we’d be in a position like this, but just a few days ago, our lives were turned upside down.

A fire tore through our home, destroying everything we owned. We lost not only our mobile home, but also one of our vehicles completely and the other two were badly damaged. We are currently staying in a motel with our daughters, trying to piece together what to do next.

Because of the age of our mobile home, we were denied homeowners insurance. We are now facing the overwhelming reality of starting over completely from scratch without the basic comforts and security that most families take for granted.

It’s incredibly humbling and difficult for me to ask for help. But right now, my family needs support more than ever. We are doing our best to stay strong for our little girls, but the road ahead feels impossible without the kindness of others.
