This past month has been the most difficult chapter my partner and I have ever faced. We’ve always tried to stay strong and push forward, but the setbacks just kept coming—one after another.
First, I was placed on a psychiatric hold for six days to ensure my safety. While I was gone, my partner held down the fort and kept us afloat. Now she has unfortunately lost her job and a stable source of income. Not long after, she was in a terrifying car accident that totaled the vehicle we had just managed to buy. We were still making payments on it.
As if that wasn’t enough, I needed emergency wisdom teeth removal, only to end up hospitalized twice due to severe allergic reactions to the medications I was given. The stress, pain, and mounting bills have been overwhelming.
Then, to top it all off, the car we had left decided to break down, leaving us without any reliable transportation at the moment.
We are trying to stay hopeful, but we need help to get back on our feet. Any support—no matter how small—will go toward transportation, medical expenses, and basic needs while we work to rebuild our lives. Thank you for reading, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can offer.
With love and gratitude,
Kaliyah Hollimon
