My name is Sophie and I started The Planet Preservation Group. I have partnered up with CISLA (Communities In Schools Los Angeles) to provide sustainability presentations to elementary and middle school children. Every child receives a reusable cup after the presentation. My friends and I are super excited to start presenting and donating the cups at the 99th Street Elementary School next week, and we are hoping to reach 1,000 kids by the end of 2026.

Americans purchase about 50 billion water bottles per year, averaging about 156 bottles per year for every person in the U.S.. By donating reusable cups to 1,000 children, there could be approximately 156,000 less plastic bottles in the landfills per year! Over 60 years, that is over 9 million fewer plastic bottles in our environment!

The time is NOW, the future is in our hands, please help us save our planet and make it plastic free for the future generations!
