Hello, my name is Melody Rettay and I need some help to honour my Mother Carol Rettay with a funeral.

My Mother passed away on the 19th of June 2025 after an ongoing and difficult battle against aggressive lymphoma and complicated grief in the wake of losing her second son’s (my brother John) to an untimely death.

My Mother’s life was not an easy one, she suffered much abuse and she fought courageously until the end. Unfortunately her heart was broken so many times.

My hope is for her life to be honoured, her memory to be cherished and for her to be farewelled with dignity and grace. For her memory to be lifted up above all the suffering she has had to endure.

Unfortunately, we have used up almost all of our funds on her treatment over the past year and we have still not even been able to afford my brother John’s headstone. Mum will be buried with John and we need to raise money for her funeral and their shared headstone in the next 10 days (by July 25th).

Please, if you can, help us to give my Mother a burial worthy of the hardworking, courageous and long suffering survivor that she was.
