One of my friends was in an unstable living situation and could not take care of her cat, Carmita, so she gave her to me and my family. When Carmita came to us, she was severely malnourished and dehydrated, and did not have enough body fat to keep her warm. We have had to bring her to a vet several times, including once to a veterinary hospital. Although she is five years old, she was only 3 pounds when we brought her to the vet the first time.

Carmita is doing much better now, has gained weight and has much more energy. We are happy to see her pulling through, and are very grateful to the vets for their help.

Now, we are left with a huge vet bill that has put a strain on us financially. We could really use some help - anything you give is appreciated. Thank you so much
