Help for Betty - Ayuda para Betty.

Dear friends, acquaintances, and all good-hearted unknown people who would like to help us in this time of big need.

My name is Felipe Lorenzo and I’m trying to raise funds for my disabled sister’s friend who fell and broke her right femur.

Elizabeth, who has a mental disability due to hypoxia at the time of birth or birth asphyxia (occurs when a baby’s brain doesn’t receive enough oxygen and blood flow around the time of birth), recently fell in the bathroom, fracturing the head of her right femur, and she needs urgent surgery to repair her fractured femur and be able to walk again.

The cost of the surgery, including hospital stay, doctors' honoraries, prosthesis, meds, diapers, and therapies, is $11,000.

Unfortunately, she lives in Venezuela where salaries hardly cover some of the basic needs for most Venezuelans; therefore, they don’t have that amount of money to pay for her surgery.

This is why I need all the help from big-hearted donors like you.

We would really appreciate any help that you can give us so we help Elizabeth one step at a time.

Queridos amigos, conocidos y todas las personas de buen corazón que deseen ayudarnos en estos momentos de gran necesidad.

Me llamo Felipe Lorenzo y estoy intentando recaudar fondos para la hermana de mi amiga la cual es discapacitada, quien se cayó y se fracturó el fémur derecho.

Elizabeth, quien tiene una discapacidad mental debido a hipoxia al nacer o asfixia al nacer (ocurre cuando el cerebro de un bebé no recibe suficiente oxígeno ni flujo sanguíneo en la época del nacimiento), se cayó recientemente en el baño, fracturándose la cabeza del fémur derecho y necesita una cirugía urgente para reparar la fractura y poder volver a caminar.

El costo de la cirugía, que incluye hospitalización, honorarios médicos, prótesis, medicamentos, pañales y terapias, es de $11,000.  

Desafortunadamente, vive en Venezuela, donde los salarios apenas cubren algunas de las necesidades básicas de la mayoría de los venezolanos; por lo tanto, no tienen esa cantidad de dinero para pagar su cirugía.

Por eso necesito toda la ayuda de donantes generosos como ustedes.
