On Tuesday, August 5th our family got some devastating news and to say that we are lost and broken right now is an understatement. My beloved grandma, Leoba Valdez, and my uncle Louis Michael lost their lives in a tragic car accident this week. It is hard to put into words what we are all feeling right now. Sadness. Heartbreak. Pain. The deepest wound left in our hearts knowing we’ll never see them again. A true miracle must be remembered that amidst this tragedy, my darling niece survived the accident and is recovering, receiving the best care, and almost cleared to go home! She has sustained some major injuries that will take time to recover from, but with prayers and faith, she will heal and live the life she was meant to live.

In the face of tragedy, we are thankful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. We are all so blessed to have been able to make so many precious memories with an amazing woman who personified unconditional love, abundant faith, and incredible strength.

We will all treasure each and every moment we had with both my grandma and my uncle. Thank you God for sparing my niece, we pray not only for her physical recovery, but also pray for her mental well being as she navigates the healing process of grief, and I’m thankful for all the friends and family that have reached out to check on her too.

To you all, we’re also sorry for your loss too. Those of you who knew them, and have reached out to us, are also grieving. Please continue to keep us all in your prayers.

With this being such a unexpected loss of not only one, but two of our dear family members, we have come across some financial obstacles and would appreciate any donation you are able to offer to help cover the costs of the funeral services to lay them both to rest.
