Please help us lay our Papi to rest
Donation protected
On Monday, October 11, 2021 we had the very sudden loss of our Papi who fell very ill. He was husband, a father, a father-in-law, a grandfather, a brother, a brother-in-law, an uncle, a cousin, a neighbor, one of the best co-workers you'll ever encounter, our teacher, our protector our best friend. You may know him as Javier Garcia Esparza Sr., Javi, Cheto, El Vikingo, or EL CHETO but he was and will always be our Papi!
No matter how you knew or met him he made you his family. He always took care of you in his own way. If you were down he was a jokester to cheer you up, if you were hungry he fed you even if it was his own meal or last dollar, if you were struggling financially and you came to him for help, there weren't many questions other than how much?. If you needed a place to stay, well he moved us kids around to make room for you. I have seen him give up his coat and shoes for homeless people and feed them as well.
Papi was a very selfless, funny, caring, brave, loyal and goodhearted man. He was the hardest worker I have ever known and the best dancer. This man had the moves!
After he came here from Tlajomulco de Zuniga, Jalisco, Mexico in 1979 he worked as a cook at the Hungry Tiger restaurant and that's when he met my mom Yolanda Esparza. He then went on to be a roofer for Suburban Roofing for about 6 year where he then went on to work for Spencers Building Maintenance for 14 years, during which time he also began to work for Trabil Enterprise as a shop foreman and that's not counting all the side jobs he did on the weekend!
Somehow this amazing man made time with my mom to raise us, his four kids: me Monica, my younger brother Javier Jr., my little sister Amanda, and my little brother Alex. He gave us a good life and taught us so much. I don't know where we would be without his knowledge, his humor, and his kind heart.
He also leaves behind 5 grandsons and 7 granddaughters whom he never missed a single school event, sport event, birthday, even when they were sick he would make sure to bring anything they needed or didn't need like treats lol
I am starting this fundraiser because our dad was the breadwinner in his home an we are trying to raise the funds to be able to take the worry from our mom. We'd like to lay him to rest peacefully and help my mom with some finances till we can figure things out.
As humbly as possible we are reaching out for help from our family and friends during our difficult time.
Any and every donation will help Papi get closer to be able to rest peacefully.
We appreciate you so much from the bottoms of our hearts
Thank you all so much for taking the time to learn about our dad.
