My mother, Rosa Jacqueline Quezada, meant the world to our family and her sudden passing has left us in total shock. She was an adored aunty, loyal sister, funny grandmother, and the most dedicated mother a person could have.

There is no easy way to prepare for a loss like this one. On February 27th, my mother experienced a nose bleed and shortly after lost consciousness in our home. After calling 9-1-1 and attempting CPR until the medics arrived, she did not survive.

In times like these, you can imagine the grief and shock of witnessing a loved one pass away so unexpectedly. My family and I were not prepared for this and are trying to navigate as best as we can.

“Jackie” was the strongest woman I’ve ever met. Being from the Dominican Republic, she later found herself in the US and raised three children in New York City so we could have a life she thought we deserved. And we did, because of her.

I am asking for any donations to help cover the costs of her tragic and untimely death. The funds will go towards the expenses of my mother’s memorial service, cremation and autopsy here in Seattle.

Mi madre, Rosa Jacqueline Quezada, significó mucho para nuestra familia y su repentino fallecimiento nos ha dejado en estado de shock total.Era una tía adorada, una hermana leal, una abuela divertida y la madre más dedicada que una persona podría tener.

No hay una manera fácil de prepararse para una derrota como esta.El 27 de febrero, mi madre experimentó una hemorragia nasal y poco después perdió el conocimiento en nuestra casa. Después de llamar al 9-1-1 e intentar reanimación cardiopulmonar hasta que llegaron los médicos, no sobrevivió.

En momentos como estos, puedes imaginar el dolor y la conmoción de presenciar el fallecimiento de un ser querido de forma tan inesperada. Mi familia y yo no estábamos preparados para esto y estamos tratando de navegar lo mejor que podemos.

"Jackie" era la mujer más fuerte que he conocido. Siendo de la República Dominicana, más tarde se encontró en los Estados Unidos y crió a tres hijos en la ciudad de Nueva York para que pudiéramos tener una vida que ella pensó que merecíamos.

Solicito donaciones para ayudar a cubrir los costos de su trágica y prematura muerte. Los fondos se destinarán a los gastos del servicio conmemorativo, la cremación y la autopsia de mi madre aquí en Seattle.
