Recently we've had several animals need our help who have complex vet needs. These animals have needed specialist treatment, CT scans, emergency surgery, intensive hospitalisation, blood transfusions and ongoing medication. Without this care, some of them simply wouldn't have survived.

Here are just six of our recent cases:

Toulouse £7,836.87

Major trauma with multiple facial fractures, a broken jaw, ruptured eye, bruised ribs and an abdominal hernia. He needed specialist care, CT scans, major specialist surgery and intensive care.

Tasha £4,150.36

A tiny kitten believed to have been hit by a car, with multiple fractures and severe injuries. She needed several surgeries, including having her pelvis pinned and plated by a specialist.

Steven £3,464.65

Still battling FIP and continuing to have fluid in his abdomen. He needed further specialist investigations and has now started a new treatment called Eidd which is very expensive. He already has 12 weeks of GS which was also expensive.

Delilah £3,194.74

Found unable to stand, with four fractures around her pelvis. She needed to be seen by specialist orthopaedic vet had X-rays, a CT scan, pain relief.

Sally £3,070.34

A little Dachshund puppy who was critically ill with parvovirus. She needed intensive care, medication and a blood transfusion. Thankfully, she fought through and is now thriving.She wouldn't have survived without the care

Autumn £1,705.25

Experiencing breathing problems our usuall vet couldn't find an issue . So she was referred to a specialist and needed CT scan.

These six cases alone have cost £23,422.25.

However these aren't the only animals we are helping.

While dealing with these big cases, we are still caring for all our cats in foster homes, feeding our colonies, helping strays, supporting people struggling to feed their pets, helping with neutering and continuing our TNR work.

Recently it's been particularly difficult financially because we've had so many complex cases needing specialist and intensive care .

We take them on because they need someone to say yes they need someone to give them the chance at life they deserve. ❤️

Your support means Toulouse can enjoy life . It means Tasha gets another chance to run and play like a kitten . It means Steven can continue his FIP treatment. It means Delilah can heal, it means Autumn can find a treatment and little Sally can have the chance at a happy life .
