Please Help Us Keep Our Home So We Can Get Ahead

Covid has been incredibly hard on all of us. Before Covid, I was ahead, I was actually saving, it seemed like life was actually possible, and even enjoyable. But Covid hit and it resulted in the loss of my job. Ever since then I have been scrambling to find something sustainable. I tried working from home but due to technical difficulties every week, (wasn't possible to get online and filing work order tickets constantly) it could not pan out. I started driving for Uber Eats which was very beneficial at first but since then has completely fallen off.

Due to a domestic violence situation with her ex partner, my mom now lives with me and I am supporting her as well. I'm not able to make ends meet any longer. We are living in a one bedroom apartment in Raleigh and pay $1000 for rent. I have pushed back on this for so long. I was always hoping something would pull through for me but bills are piling up and they don't stop. Unfortunately, I had to choose between paying my car insurance to have transportation or paying rent.

We are now being served eviction court papers. I never wanted to do this. I was raised to pick myself up my bootstraps to make ends meet. But I can't lift us up any longer. Anything that you can possibly offer will help us immensely. I am constantly filling out job applications (I have a Bachelor's in Communications and Advertising) and I'm waiting to hear back from a few prospects but the eviction is here now.

$2,923. 83 will go completely towards rent which will put us at ground zero to start getting ahead. The remainder will get my checking account out of the red and give us a gigantic fighting chance.

I thank you for anything and everything you've ever done for me. When I see you all, the only other thing I ask from you are great big hugs. I think we all could use more of that this year.
