Please help us keep our AHS pups cool this summer!

My name is Tammy and I am a volunteer at the Associated Humane Society's Newark, NJ location. I have been a volunteer here for over a year and I love helping these amazing shelter pups however I possibly can.

The building which houses our AHS Newark location was built-in 1906. Many areas of the building are not meant to permanently house dogs, but due to the current animal crisis and the overwhelming number of dogs being brought to the shelter each day, the shelter has been forced to utilize spaces it would not normally utilize. Because of this, some areas of the shelter are not as cool as we would like them to be during the hot summer months. The staff is doing everything they possibly can to make sure our dogs are comfortable, but with soaring temperatures, It is hard to keep up!

We are hoping to obtain 30 extra large cooling mats to help keep our dogs cool and comfortable in their kennels during the hot summer days. Any funds which are obtained through this fundraiser will go directly to purchasing the following cooling mats: https://a.co/d/iKcPd3u
