Please Help Us Help This Family in Crisis

Edward Michael Hager, age 35, lost his battle with combat related PTSD on Tuesday, June 25, 2019. He left behind a loving wife and three beautiful children. After September 11th 2001, Ed enlisted in the US Army and served from 2002-2006. During this time, he was deployed to Iraq, and Kuwait, among others. He fought for our country with honor and pride. While he fearlessly fought for our country, he experienced traumatic events with his army brothers and sisters. He was actively seeking help for these experiences and was continuing to work through them, regrettably he was unable to overcome the events of his past. Since his separation from the Army, Ed continued to be a passionate outdoorsman and became a devoted father. With the help and support from his family, Ed completed his Associated Degree from Mesa Community College. He found passion within welding and creating with his hands. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and would never miss a big occasion to celebrate and be a goofball.

With his sudden and unexpected passing, his wife and three toddler children are unprepared to handle the expenses that come with such a tragic event. Generous family and friends have offered assistance to cover such expenses, but unfortunately their contributions will not cover everything.

22 veterans die every day from suicide, that is one every 65 minutes. If you or someone you know is in need, please call the Veteran Crisis Hotline 1-800-273-8255.
