Please Help Us Help Our Family Stuck in Ukraine

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Ashley. I am helping my dearest friend Kseniya and her sister Anastasia organize this fundraiser on behalf of their grandmother Olga, father Stanislav and uncle Alexander. They are Ukraine citizens and call the beautiful city of Kyiv home.

On February 23rd, Olga, Stanislav and Alexander were ordinary Ukrainian citizens going about their everyday lives. One day later their lives were stolen.

On February 24th, Russia’s Vladimir Putin unjustly ordered the invasion of Ukraine. It has been almost a month, and the catastrophic death, destruction, and despair that Putin has created for Ukrainians worldwide leave me at a loss for words.

It is too painful to imagine being Kseniya and Anastasia right now; safe in the US, while knowing their family is in a war zone miles and oceans away; being forced to watch it play out on TV and social media. They were in Kyiv last summer, visiting family, their friends and showing Anastasia's son, Nic, where they grew up. Now they don't know if there will be a Ukraine to go back to or if their loved ones will survive.

So please, Olga, Stanislav and Alexander need your help.

Stanislav who is in his late 70s, is very sick and unable to get up from bed. He is at his home in Kyiv with dangerously low resources and is solely dependent on the kindness of neighbors and family friends. Money is needed to ensure Kseniya and Anastasia can support those who have gone without helping their father and when Stanislav can travel, money will be needed to help with relocating costs, essential items and further medical care.

Olga and Alexander, who is also Olga’s caregiver, were able to evacuate south when their part of Kyiv became too dangerous.  Olga is in her 80s and this is the second war she has been a victim of, how insanely unfair?  Money is needed to ensure Kseniya and Anastasia can financially secure transportation out of Ukraine if needed, relocation costs, essential items, and anything else they might need to survive and rebuild their lives.

They also have extended family in Mariupol. If you have been following the news, you will know that Russia has stepped up their assault on Mariupol. They just got word this weekend their family was able to evacuate Mariupol safely. They fled their homes with nothing and will also need financial help to rebuild their lives.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the United States Congress on March 16th; I urge you to watch his speech and the video their government shared. It shows in great visual detail the devastation caused by Russian troops on the orders of Putin.

Thank you for taking the time to read more about this fundraiser. Every penny raised will directly aid Kseniya and Anastasia's family in Ukraine.

Please help me show them they are NOT alone.
