Lando, our 16-year-old cat, the sweetest little void that ever lived, is having a recurrence of cancer in the form of sinonasal adenocarcinoma. His radiation oncology team agrees that he is likely to benefit significantly from a brief palliative course of radiation, something he responded to very well a little over a year ago, and which is quite pricey!

Lando had a CT scan last week to assess the tumor size and shape and whether it was a candidate for radiation this time. Our goal has been set for the moment to cover that $4500 CT bill as well as to begin funding a portion of his radiation therapy, which we expect him to start (and possibly finish—it will be no more than three treatments) next week. Our total may be updated as we get a clearer estimate of how much his radiation is likely to cost.
