Please help us help Carlos

Hello Friends and family, on November first, Carlos noticed some red spots all over his body. He began to sneeze large amounts of blood and became extremely weak. His mom took him to the ER, and after many tests, they gave him unfortunate news. He arrived at the hospital with 0% red blood cells, which caused significant bruising throughout his entire body. He was given a blood transfusion which his body rejected. At this point, he was told that they would do one more transfusion and if his body rejected it a second time, he will need to begin a new treatment. This new treatment requires a down payment of $20,000 to begin. His body seemed to handle the second transfusion better so he was able to be released.
Some of the tests performed were 2 CT scans which unraveled a huge issue. Carlos has a sist on his left kidney that the doctor estimates has been growing for 25 years. Its size is so large that it has pushed his organs, including his stomach, which is chronically pushed up and shrunken. If Carlos were to fall or be involved in a car accident, his sist would explode or leak liquids into his organs and kill him. He needs surgery to remove the kidney, but his blood level needs to be at a controlled level to survive such surgery.
Carlos went to work on November 4th in the dental office in Loveland and felt an unbearable pain on his side. After attending his first patient, the doctor sent him home. His pain was so intense that his mother took him back to the hospital, where he was told his blood level was at a 6. At this point, it was clear that he needed the next treatment.
Carlos needs his blood to be at level 200 for surgery to be completed. They will not remove his enlarged kidney until then, at which aside from the treatment needed, we don't know the exact cost of this surgery. He has been in the hospital for several days, which has also added more to the bills.

Carlos has been an amazing friend and support system to many people around him. He has shown so much love to so many people and has impacted so many lives throughout his life. His presence lights up any room that he enters, his laughter and positive outlook on life has inspired so many as well. Today, on his and his family's behalf, we are asking for any support that you can provide for his treatment and surgery. No donation is too small and will help us reach our goal. We want to keep our loved Carlos with us for many more years. We need him in our lives; we need his smile, his laughter, and to be healthy. For this and many more reasons, we need your help today.

Thank you for your contribution,
The Unzueta family and friends.
