On July 8th, Kim took her place amongst the stars after a long battle with cancer. Kim fought bravely to live as long as she could to be with her husband Geoff and young daughters, Audrey and Lilah. She longed to share her love of music, art, knitting, and cooking with her girls, which kept her going during hard times. Before becoming a mother, Kim's heart was in her work. For most of her career, Kim served as a Deputy District Attorney in Columbia County and was honored as DUII Prosecutor of the Year in 2015 by the Oregon DUII Multi-Disciplinary Training Task Force. She was also a former president and active member of the Portland chapter of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Sisterhood, a nonprofit organization that helps women pursue educational goals by providing educational assistance. Kim's love and compassion for others permeated her life, and she dedicated herself to making the world a safer and more beautiful place.
Her loss is felt deeply by her family, friends, and community. We are setting up this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her funeral to ease the financial burden on her family, who dedicated a lot of resources to her care, treatment, and comfort. Thank you for supporting Kim and her family during these hard times.
