Hi everyone, my name is Kennedy, I’m making this gofundme on behalf of my parents, Kristie and Sam, and my sisters Gina, Ryan and Molly.

On August 26th one of our dogs Astra (aka Azzie) suffered a horrible freak accident which has left her partially paralyzed. My parents rushed Azzie to our vet just before they closed, and they ran preliminary tests, but ultimately she had to go to VCA hospital to be further assessed. She has minimal use of her left leg and basically no use of her right leg. The doctor said she will have to have an MRI to further investigate whether she needs surgery or rest and physical therapy to recover. The estimate we were given for the MRI and neuro assessment is close to $7,000 and in this economic climate there is just no way we can afford this costly scan.

Astra is our most active, driven, hyper dog and to see this happen to her has broken my whole family’s heart.
