Meet Toby Kindred, a rising star in British Ice Hockey. At just 14 years old Toby has already carved out a reputation as a prodigious talent with an unwavering passion for the game.

Toby is a British forward ice hockey player who plays as a centre and wing for A League Club Invicta, UK Select Elite and the England National team.

Toby has played for the National team for the last two seasons, representing his country in several International tournaments, travelling to many countries including Canada, Latvia and Finland.

As one of the country’s top scorers in league tables Toby plays with a style of true grit, his quick hands on the stick and solid skating skills give him that edge. Toby tries his very best, to be the best he can through relentless training and dedication to his sport, becoming a standout player in National leagues and International tournaments. His innate ability to read the game, making split second decisions sets him apart, making him a formidable force against any opponent. His skills have been celebrated with frequent trophies, medals and awards, his recent achievements include the Man of the Match trophy whilst playing for England U15 team and Forward of the Year in the end of season club awards (both gained in June 2024).

Toby’s performance on the ice is complemented by his commitment off the rink. As a diligent student and a natural leader, he exemplifies the qualities of discipline, teamwork and resilience. Toby currently Captains his Invicta team, his coaches and teammates often speak of his inspiring work ethic and his ability to lift the spirits of those around him, whether in victory or defeat.

Toby’s growing skills have not gone unnoticed by his team coaches, discussions have been made collectively that the next stage in Toby’s development would be to attend a specialised hockey school in Canada. This opportunity would give this young British talent the highest quality training, opening doors which just do not exist here in the UK.

A place has opened up for Toby in a school in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The training year is from September to May. The basic structure of Toby’s day would consist of a mix of academic lessons, on ice and off ice training.

The yearly fee’s for Toby’s place are £28,500, this fee is inclusive of all expenses except hockey equipment and flights. Toby could potentially hold this position for three years.

Toby has already secured his first two sponsors:
  • SFS Steel Frame Solutions who have supported him from the very beginning of this campaign.
  • The Grooming Clinic.com based in Cranleigh.
  • We also have a personal sponsor covering Toby’s international flights.
This incredible support is overwhelming and we can’t thank them enough for their kindness.

We are reaching out to a collection of companies and personal sponsors to help this local talent achieve his full potential. Sponsoring Toby is an opportunity to support a young athlete with boundless potential and a bright future ahead whilst giving your company a compassionate, supportive image as well as media and social media exposure. Sponsors would have regular updates on Toby’s progress, company logo’s on sports clothes/helmet/stick etc…. photos with Toby and your company’s staff for advertising and media. This type of sponsorship can be written off under certain tax rulings.

Can you help us reach our goal of getting Toby to Canada?

Any contribution no matter how small will be Toby one step closer to reaching his dream.
