I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my momma Jennifer, aka Sage, aka Grammie, who has been living in constant pain and medical hardship following a hysterectomy in 2017.

Since that surgery, her body has endured a series of severe complications. She was forced to undergo additional procedures after her bladder began to prolapse, requiring it to be surgically pinned back into place. That procedure involved surgical mesh, which later had to be repaired due to eroding into other parts of the body. Her body ultimately rejected this causing intense pain, serious internal infections, and emotional trauma.

Doctors later had to attempt yet another repair using a skin graft from her own body. Unfortunately, this surgery also did not resolve the issue, and she is now facing further complications, ongoing infections, and daily pain that has drastically affected her quality of life.

Despite everything she has been through, my mother continues to fight. She has done everything asked of her medically, emotionally, and financially. She is still paying off medical bills from surgeries that did not work, and now she is facing another critical procedure.

Her next surgery is scheduled for January 12th, and it is medically necessary. After being gaslit for many months and doctors telling her they can’t find the problem though she is enduring daily pain, they now have sights on the infection and a plan for another repair. However, the hospital is requiring nearly $5,000 upfront before admitting her for surgery.

My mother attempted to secure another medical loan but has been denied. We have exhausted all immediate options and are now turning to the community for help.

She is emotionally, physically, and financially exhausted, but she cannot go without this surgery.
