Hi, My name is Bronwen, my little family and I are trying our hardest to get Grandma back closer to her family but we need some help. Back in 2022 after the floods destroyed our home in Rochester Victoria we were hit with yet another blow, early 2023 Our darling Grandma suffered a double stroke. This left her with no movement to the right side of her body. Sadly for us Grandma lives 11 hours from us. She now resides in an aged care facility there. Now that our little town has rebuilt their aged care facility we are wishing to bring grandma down here so we can see her more. We have already got approval for her in the new facility here and they are keen to welcome her. She’s not getting any younger and we know there’s only a certain amount of time we have left to spend with her and make memories while we can. Unfortunately the move comes at a personal cost to us as the health department won’t cover the transport via Royal Flying Doctors Services. That is the most appropriate form of transport for her needs. We aren’t able to drive up there to pick her up ourselves as she requires medical assistance frequently. I’ve never liked asking for help but this is for my family and we really would like Grandma closer, she would love it to. Please if you are able to help in any way possible (big or small) we would all be forever grateful. It would definitely make the old girl happy to. All funds raised will pay to get her here and set up in her new place to call home. Thank you in advance for all the help love and support.
