Please help us get Dante his surgery!

Hi!
Our family started fostering puppies for Hopalong over a year ago. In November we took in a pair of pups that were in rough shape and fell absolutely in love with this precious boy. We decided to adopt him ourselves. We don’t know if it was due to his tragic start in life(found severely malnourished and covered in his own feces and fleas) or just a bad genetic hand dealt to him, but this sweet little love has been in and out of our vet’s office and the local emergency clinic A LOT. Mystery rashes, infections, puzzling locked jaw, fluid in his knees, and now he needs surgery for medial coronoid disease in both elbows. We have spent nearly $10,000 in vet bills since adopting him in November of 2022 and now he desperately needs surgery within the next couple of weeks that is estimated to cost between $7,013.16 and $8,410.33. The surgeon said that because we caught it early and if we get the surgery in the next couple of weeks, he could have full mobility and even relatively little chronic or substantial arthritis. His prognosis looks very promising with the surgery. We are hopeful.
Dante LOVES people and other dogs. He is the happiest boy and CANNOT greet you without grabbing something in his mouth to give you in trade for your attention and affection. He deserves to live a long and happy life and we want to do everything we can to give him that.
We take pet parenting VERY seriously and feel like it is our responsibility to pay for whatever he needs. We do have 2 young children though and are a one income family due to my own serious personal health issues that make parenting and running a household all I can manage. We are hesitantly taking friends’ advice and asking for help since Dante’s needs seem to be so extraordinary and we have stretched ourselves to the max with all he has needed in such a short time.
Thank you for even reading this if you have gotten this far!
It earned you more adorable pictures of our sweet boy!! ☺️
