Hello I’m Kasey,

Our beautiful little boy Chester is just 17 months old and lives with spinal muscular atrophy. Right now, he urgently needs a spinal brace to help slow the progression of his scoliosis. We’ve been told the wait time is up to 24 months, but sadly that’s time Chester doesn’t have. Without a brace, his spinal curve will continue to worsen and begin to affect his lungs which is something we are desperate to prevent as Chester already struggles with respiratory issues. We’ve been quoted around £4,000 for a private brace, and we’re reaching out with hopeful hearts for help. Any donation, no matter the size, will help protect Chester’s breathing and give him the best chance to grow, thrive, and simply be a little boy. As this has been so widely spread and through the generosity of local people we have events planned in the very near future the fundraiser will stay open for donations to continue as Chester will require additional equipment throughout his life, the next most important piece of equipment he needs is a specially adapted chair to enable him to leave the house safely, any money raised past the fees for the brace/consultations will go towards this.
