our dad is in heaven

With very heavy hearts we have been told that our beloved dad Brent Page only has a few months left to live.
He was diagnosed two months ago with burkitts lymphoma, a very fast growing cancer and it has now spread to his brain . It is an aggressive non-Hodgkin B-cell lymphoma. The doctors discovered this after our dad underwent open heart surgery where they found the tumor wrapped around his whole heart. After surgery he really struggled to wake up and they had to act fast starting his first round of chemo while he was under and on a ventilator. They didn’t give him more than a week to live, but here he is! He has persevered and stayed so strong throughout this whole process. I cant even imagine waking up to news like this. He isn’t giving up, he is fighting everyday, and we will continue to hold onto hope. Unfortunately, his body is too weak to receive any more chemo (right now) and they say it will do more harm than good. Therefore, his life expectancy has been cut short. It’s all been fast and so devastating for us all. He is our world as you all know. Everyone that knows my dad loves my dad and we can’t imagine life without him. This whole situation has been so hard to digest and just heartbreaking for all who love him.
Right now, he is staying up in Oregon at Asante medical hospital and his wish is to move closer to Redwood City to spend his last few months with friends and family. It would mean the world to us to bring him closer to home so we can enjoy these last moments and make more memories with us and his grand babies. This process will entail a medical transport as well as housing him in a 24/7 care home.
The last thing we wanted to do was ask people for money and we don’t have a set amount we need, but we are desperate and out of options to get him down to the Bay Area. Everything is so expensive and his insurance doesn't cover the type of care he needs. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Do not feel obligated to donate though. This isn’t the route we wanted to take but we are out of options. Lets bring him home.
Thank you for all the continued prayers and support. My family really appreciates all the love and care we have been shown during this very difficult time. My dad knows how much people are praying for him and has been overwhelmed with all the support. Thank you again.
