Hi. Jill and are are facing a little hardship. I had been very ill for a good portion of our lease, and unable to generate income, leaving us with only Jill's income. She was only able to secure employment (after seven years of our being the unpaid caretakers of her elderly mother leaving us high and dry) some months after we signed it, completely draining our resources. We fell behind in rent $1600 over the course of the year, and also don't have the upcoming $1400 rent due on the 15th, making a total of $3,000 exactly when our lease is up. The very patient landlord said he would renew us if we were even. We are close, but we don't see a way to make it happen without some help, so this is literally an unhousing emergency. I am now well and able to work, so this hurdle is the only thing between us and the street, and we are not exaggerating the point. If you can help in any way, please do.
